Welcome to JenniferLauPhotography. Ten years ago I embarked on a new chapter in my life. I left a full time job in the city to strike out on my own…again. As I started making plans and lining up clients I found out about a new title that I would hold. Mom. This along with 9/11 helped me make some decisions in how I would operate my business. I would not be commuting into the city any more, and my son would be by my side. Well over the past 10 years, my kids have been by my side day in and day out. Looking back at my photographs I can tell you where my kids were….just out of the frame, right by my side, or snuggled in bed as I slipped out of bed at 5am to get some early morning shots. As a matter of fact, my son Theo is greatly responsible for my shift into photography. It was his concept that became the image on the Gilroy Garlic Festival Poster.

Ten years later, 2011 has brought new opportunities for me to shift from being primarily a graphic designer to a duel career that has allowed me to explore the art of photography. I thank those who have been so supportive along the way…it is really my friends and family that have opened this door for me.
